Christopher Lubienski is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Organization and Leadership at the University of Illinois, where he studies education policy, reform, and the political economy of education. His research focuses on the intersections of public and private interests in education in areas such as school choice, charter schools, voucher programs, and home-schooling. In 2005, he was selected as a National Academy of Education/Spencer Postdoctoral Fellow for a project using geo-spatial analyses to examine the equity effects of schools’ organizational behavior in “local education markets.
