The Arizona Education Policy Initiative (AEPI), a collaborative project of Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and the University of Arizona, was launched in September 2003. AEPI utilizes the expertise of faculty at Arizona’s public universities to provide policy makers and the public with high quality information about Arizona education policy and practice.
The Commercialism in Education Research Unit (CERU), directed by Professor Alex Molnar, conducts research, disseminates information, and helps facilitate dialogue between the education community, policy makers, and the public-at-large about commercial activities in schools. CERU is the only academic research center in the world dedicated to schoolhouse commercialism.
The Language Policy Research Unit (LPRU), co-directed by Professor Terrence Wiley and Assistant Professor Wayne Wright (University of Texas, San Antonio), promotes research and policy analysis on the challenges and opportunities posed by global multilingualism. LPRU activities are intended to inform public discussion and policymaking in state, national, and international contexts.

for public education and for more effective public schools. The Center helps Americans better
understand the role of public education in a democracy and the need to improve the academic quality
of public schools.

EPAA is an online, peer-reviewed journal. Articles are produced in English,
Spanish, or Portuguese under the supervision of an editorial board representing scholars from seven nations.
eSchool News Online, a web-based version of the monthly print newspaper
eSchool News, covers education technology in all its aspects--from legislation and litigation,
to case studies, to purchasing practices and new products.

The Great Lakes Center for Education Research and Practice is a non-profit, non-partisan think tank based in
Williamston, Michigan, whose goal is to identify, develop, support, publish, and widely disseminate empirically
sound research on education policy and practices.

Hispanic Border Leadership Institute is a consortium of eight institutions of higher education, serving
Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas. It is dedicated to the mission of improving the
education of Latinos from pre-kindergarten to doctoral studies by promoting systematic change via Latino
leadership and policy development within the following groups: School board members; Community college trustees;
Future executive officers of schools, colleges, state departments, and professional associations; and
State legislators, congressional members, and civil leaders.
