Richard Allington is Professor of Education in the Literacy Studies
program area in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences
at the University of Tennessee. His research interests in
reading/learning disabilities, exemplary literacy instruction, and the
impacts of federal education policies. He was co-recipient of the A.J.
Harris Award from the International Reading Association for his
contributions to understanding reading/learning disabilities.
