A recent study of the Student Achievement Guarantee in Education
(SAGE) program confirmed achievement gains found in the original study with a closing of the achievement gap for African-American students,
but also showed inconclusive results for a sustained SAGE effect, pointing to concerns about the small sample size and the need for expanded research.
